April (she/her) is HCCA’s Associate Program Manager providing oversight and support for HCCA’s tobacco and substance use prevention programs, including special projects, the Maine Prevention Network (MPN), and the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant. In addition, April facilitates the statewide LGBTQ+ SupportME Network.

Katie (she/her) is HCCA’s Finance Manager providing financial guidance and oversight on all government and philanthropic funding streams that support HCCA’s mission.

Alida (she/her) is HCCA’s Food Systems Coordinator, where she manages the Maine Farm & Sea to Institution network (MEFTI) and various food systems projects.

Patricia Buck-Welton (she/her) is HCCA’s Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Coordinator, implementing projects and initiatives throughout MSAD 11 (Gardiner area schools), including supporting and overseeing the Gardiner Area Thrives (GAT) coalition. As DFC Coordinator, Patricia sits on the boards of Gardiner Main Street and Southern Kennebec Child Development Corporation (SKCDC), and is a member of MSAD 11 District Wellness Committee, Gardiner Rotary, and Christ Church in Gardiner.

Substance Use Prevention Coordinator

Anna (she/her) is HCCA’s Substance Use Prevention Coordinator supporting community partners to implement policies, systems, and environmental changes to prevent substance use, with a primary focus on youth. Anna also co-facilitates the Kennebec County Youth Advisory Board that creates a place for youth throughout Kennebec County to advocate for change surrounding issues that impact them the most.

Rachael Reynolds

SNAP-Ed Coordinator

Rachael (she/her) is HCCA’s Maine SNAP-Ed Coordinator. She delivers SNAP-Ed programming to SNAP-eligible community members ages three and up, visiting them in childcare, elementary schools, summer youth programs, community centers, vocational rehabilitation centers, and many more locations. She also supports Policy, Systems, and Environmental change (PSE) initiatives in the community including community garden initiatives and StoryWalks®.

Courtney (she/her) is HCCA’s Maine SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator. Tobacco Prevention Coordinator

Belle (she/her) is HCCA’s Tobacco Prevention Coordinator supporting community partners to implement policies, systems, and environmental changes to prevent tobacco and e-cigarette (vape) use, reduce exposure to second- and third-hand smoke, and provide resources to help current tobacco users quit. Belle also co-facilitates the Kennebec County Youth Advisory Board that creates a place for youth throughout Kennebec County to advocate for change surrounding issues that impact them the most.

Sarah Young

Healthy Eating Active Living Coordinator

Sarah (she/her) is HCCA’s Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Coordinator supporting community partners to implement policies, systems, and environmental changes that improve healthy eating and nutrition, increase opportunities for physical activity, and provide breastfeeding supports. Sarah also supports initiatives to decrease tobacco use and exposure and co-facilitates the Kennebec County Youth Advisory Board that creates a place for youth throughout Kennebec County to advocate for change surrounding issues that impact them the most.

Food Systems Program Associate

Sarah (she/her) is HCCA’s Food Systems Program Associate supporting multiple statewide food systems projects housed at HCCA. Sarah provides communication, facilitation, and event planning technical support to ensure meaningful network reach and engagement.

Cody (he/him) is HCCA’s Financial Associate, supporting HCCA’s administrative team by recording financial transactions and assisting with budget development, financial report compilation, and organizing supporting documentation as required by multiple funders.
